Jul 7th, 20077-7-7 Blues,PariguayoBlog opens.
Hey 1st post!Anyways,lets get down to business.Is any one having a busy ass week?Well because I sure as hell am.Well for starters I'll list the day and the blues associated with it for all 7 days ahead:
Monday:I've got a date with a Judge,the NYPD,a courtroom and at a little place called Chambers street which just happens to be near my school.What happened you ask?well lets just say I had a bad run-in with the cops about a month and a half back,overreacted,and the pig (white FYI and I'm hispanic)slaps a bunch of cuffs on me,takes me down to a precint,throws me into a holding cell,and they give me a little pink slip with something that says disorderly conduct,and a court date which happens to be this very Monday.Note that I've never been arrested before,therefore my record is clean.But hopefully everything should go well,and the judge will hopefully drop the charges.
Tuesday:I'm off to Norwal,CT to get my U.S Passport renewed,sucks that I won't be in class that day,but oh well.But the passport is gonna be my ticket to getting out of good ole Washington Heights,NYC and be on a plane going to Jarabacoa,Dominican Republic (Also,Google it for pics/info,Youtube it for videos)(you've guessed it,I'm Dominican-3/4 to be exact and 1/4 Cuban).Things should should go well and have my passport.Also,I need to do some last minute shopping for clothes and some DS games (recommend me some).And study my ass off for my last exam.
Wednesday:I think I'll be doing some more studying/shopping and of course hitting the gym,and packing my bags,etc.
Thursday:I'm off to back down to Chambers St. to go to school(I go to college,its nearby)and take my last Health Ed exam,and hopefully I'll pass(I hope I get a Ct or at least a B-),and maybe get some chicks/other people's contact info. if possible.I'll need to check out a suit case sometime before Saturday and Friday.
Friday:My last day in good old American soil.I'll be doing some last minute stuff,probably head to the barber shop to get a shape-up (go to urbandictionary.com for that one),prepare my clothes that I shall leave with,secure my bags,and all that other stuff.
Saturday:I'm off to the D.R,and lemme tell ya, its been 10 long years since I haven't gone back.I can expect a very early rise and shine,maybe shower,start moving the bags downstairs,etc. and FYI I'll be going with my mom,her BF and my bro'll be joining us on August 1st.Part with with my bros.,New York,my Wii,and all that other stuff,including internet,my friends,etc. and arrive at JFK Airport,to for the first time in 10 years,board a plane. I'll be arriving at Santiago International airport like around 10:30-10:45am,find our bags,then head outside to meet whoever is gonna pick us up and I'll be at my town like 1:00pm or so.(the airport's about 1.30hrs away from my town)And of course meet a lot of new people,maybe get a tour of the town to re-familiarize myself with the town.And enjoy myself.Expect to see about a weekly update post here and plenty of sunshine,heavy showers,apagones(blackouts that are very common in DR,happens everyday),fresh fruit,mosquitoes,a motor scooter that I need to learn to ride to get around town,girls all over the place,clubs,seeing a bunch of bachateros and merengueros live,(google those too,and wikipedia it/youtube it),cousins,aunts,grandparents,nostalgia,and some good,clean,fun(another fact:In the Dominican Republic,clubs are only opened till 2 AM now since its law,and quite frankly it sucks).
Sunday:Well,explore Jarabacoa/hang out,chill,and make myself at home/get acquainted with everyone and everything.
