Nintendo Channel now out
The folks at Nintendo of America quietly release one of the more anticipated Wii channels.
Nintendo today made a new update available for the Wii system, adding the Nintendo Channel to the roster of freely-available channels on the main menu. A variety of features are availble through this channel: first, it allows users to view videos of hot and upcoming Nintendo games, much like the Metroid Prime 3 Preview Channel. If the Internet Channel is also installed, users can also be led to online stores where the games are available for purchase. Users can also rate their previously-played games to get new recommendations for titles to purchase. Additionally, the Nintendo Channel also allows the Wii to download DS game demos and send them wirelessly to DSes via Wi-Fi multiboot. The new channel takes up 123 blocks and can be found in the Wii Shop under the "WiiWare" category. The list of DS demos includes Jam Sessions, Ninja Gaiden: Dragon Sword, Flash Focus: Vision Training, and more.
