Victory Gundam Reviewed

Well, i just finished watching this 51 episode series that takes place in the UC universe (Original Gundam, 08th MS Team, 0080, 0083, Zeta...etc)

And it is one of the saddest and darkest Gundams there is.

Don't be fooled. The protagonist of the story may be only a 13 year old newtype, but he really matures from the begining to the end.

And this is probably one of the only Gundams that the gundam is not the all powerfull machine. At first it has the fear effect because the Gundams were legendary 50 some years before the show because they where much stronger then everything else. but time changes.

It is Universal Century 0153. On the space colonies located at Side 2, the Zanscare Empire has come to power and it holds onto that power through liberal use of the guillotine. With its forces invading the Earth and its space fleets preparing to subjugate the other Sides, the Zanscare Empire has nothing to fear from the weakening Earth Federation. It is opposed only by the League Militaire, whose state of the art mobile suits and young pilots comprise the only real resistance movement. Now, thirteen-year-old Uso Evin has been dragged into the war by a battle near his home in Eastern Europe. As the Newtype pilot of the Victory Gundam, he fights not only to defeat the Zanscare Empire but also to find out what has become of his parents, who left him behind when they went into space.

This show is very sad. Why? because way too many loveable characters die in this. And what appears has a loveable character at the begining, turns out completely insane, and you will be really pissed that s/he never even died at the end.

Either way, it's a great show, and a must watch

i give Victory Gundam a 9.2 out of 10
