Call of Duty: World at War DS - BUY NOW
You should go out right now and pick it up. You can thank me later.
No - I didn't work on it. Yes - the team that did put in some good stuff. Wi-Fi play? Check. Online stat tracking? Check. 8.3 rating from IGN? Check. The single player story is actually longer than the console versions. OMG. All this can be yours for only $29.99!
Give your DS some FPS love.

I'LL CUT YOU.
But no - the IGN review does not specifically SAY that it looks better than doom, but the 8.5 for graphics means something...

I'm too busy playing Brothers in Arms and Call of Duty 5 on consoles to play it on DS.
Sorry Buzzjive

I do not consider an 8.3 rating from a site like IGN a convincing argument to buy a game, too many games that get those kinds of ratings are mediocre at best, I prefer to spend my limited games budget on A+ titles, thank you very much.

If I'm not mistaken the last DS FPS by those guys turned out pretty good. I have no interest in COD (PC, consoles or handhelds) though.

You have no interest in WWII games of any kind. Which means robbing yourself of a great deal of amazing games.

Not my fault the industry didn't know when to stop milking the era. Besides the last publisher you'll see me want to support is Activision.

In case that was addressed to me, I have never seen a Naruto episode/comic, and although Avatar was a nice show, I don't really care much for it anymore - or ever did for that matter, flying Bisons and flame throwing was enough to capture my attention - I'm just too lazy to change my avatar, just as I'm apparently too lazy to use interpunction and seperate sentences. But hey, at least they're grammatically correct, no?
I also rarely/as good as never buy games that are based on a comic/movie-series, I prefer games that stand on their own.

They'll prolly stop milking that era when Nintendo stops making mario games.
Or Wii ____ games.
Which is never. Get off your high horse and play some godamn WWII games. It's a genre and it's here to stay. And it's a genre with amazing games:
Brothers in Arms series:
*Brothers in Arms:Road to Hill 30 87%
*Brothers in Arms: Earned in Blood 84%
*Brothers in Arms: Hell's Highway 81%
Company of Heroes series:
*Company of Heroes 93%
*Company of Heroes:Opposing Fronts 87%
Call of Duty series:
*Call of Duty 91%
*Call of Duty: United Offensive 87%
*Call of Duty 2 86%
*Call of Duty: World at War 90%
Medal of Honor Allied Assault 91% (All the others sucked)
IL-2 Sturmovik 91% (Didn't you say you liked this game?)
IL-2 Sturmovik:The Forgotten Battles 86%
Silent Hunter III 90%
Amongst older titles like the classic Close Combat and Combat Missions games and Microsoft's Combat Flight Simulator.
If you didn't buy Mario Galaxy because you thought Mario was being milked by Nintendo everyone would think you were crazy. Same logic applies here.
*All scores pulled from Metacritic PC scores.
I don't get the logic "WWII=Suck". That's as silly as saying every Wii game sucks.

It's not that WWII automatically =Suck, it's mostly WWII shooter fatigue. Do you find normal that every major publisher has yearly WWII FPS you can't tell apart? I can't even say which of those I've played or not, because they're all the exact effing same.
A WWII shooter just won't interest me anymore. The weapons are not fun to use, and the locales usually consist of grey boring towns, grey blocky beaches or if you're lucky grey, anemic jungles. My preference now goes to modern urban and SciFi FPS like Half Life, Quake and Halo.
I have played and enjoyed the likes of Sturmovik, Silent Hunter, Close Combat, Desert Rats vs. Afrika Korps and Panzer General in the past. I don't think you can really compare those to the waves of Spielbergized and Consolized shooters we've been getting since 1999.

Buzzjive - I enjoyed the first on the DS and I will look forward to getting this one too. Love shooters but I don't have time to play them on consoles.
