E3, Ninty headlining with new GBA, DS online
http://www.eurogamer.net/article.php?article_id=58969
Quote:
Although Nintendo has pledged to show off something of its next-generation plans at the expo, it has remained coy about exactly how much will be on display - and now sources close to the company have revealed that no Revolution hardware or specs will be discussed, with the console appearing only as a video of next-gen footage....
....The new GBA, however, is categorically not the "GBA2", Nintendo's genuine next-generation handheld console. The system is expected to be an update to the existing GBA hardware, perhaps sporting built-in wireless networking and the Play-Yan adapter for playing downloadable games and videos, both of which have up until now been separate components.

I told you so

so instead of making something like gba2
they will add updates to the current gba and resell and make more money for a product that basically is barely upgraded.
CONGRATUATIONS NINTENDO welcome to the business of taking a original item and adding little garbage here and there and selling it for big bucks.
how do you think the madden series is so rich? they add a few new characters. maybe a new play or two and BOOM millions more sold
Gj nintendno for not even being bothered to make a system.
btw goodjob on doing nothing on the ds and letting it rot.
Pathetic if you ask me.

This is exactly what I expect to see it at E3. Lots of DS, no Revolution and a GBA SP +.

I know this is off topic, but I'm so damn pissed that E3 is so much later this year than it was last year!!! I'm American--I have NO patience!!! As for this GBA2, what the hell? Nintendo is really milking the GBA franchise for all its worth. Honestly, who needs a third iteration of the same console?

that's my point. Dont talk about something you dont know about. madden doesnt add a few players nor a play or two to the game, but if you knew about football you'd know this.
one time could you please make sense in a post here.

This proves nothing, it's pure speculation and a guessing game.
I'm sticking by my past arguments saying that there will be no mention of another Game Boy Advance. If Nintendo proves me wrong then you can laugh, but I still think it won't happen.

If they were fair to their consumers they would add a update option that lets people with a internet connection download all the new players and content.
But they rather us pay 50 bucks for that.

woot???
multimedia support and wifi is not garbage...
nononononooooo firefox you're very wrong... it's really cool they are supporting their base in anticipation of the revolution.
They did right not to burry revolution in E3 and showing something different at the same time. economy PSP There are no reports of any new sdk but there will be for sure since wifi is now an option so perhaps even system capabilities might change.
i'm looking forward to see what's new

At least I'm happy with Nintendo's showing for the DS. I can't wait for Mario Kart (online!!!) and MP:H. However, these games should have been available at launch...
