Heheh, we switched on MSNBC while the recording was playing and it was pretty fucked up, but then...
"Wait, that was to his daughter?"
"Wait, his daughter is eleven years old?"

Yeah it doesn't sound like him. And if any of you are shocked and think this is "horrible parenting", you should really um learn something about parenting or whatever. I've had plenty harsher conversations with my parents and threats from them etc etc.

The ironic thing is that he's mad about her on the phone and yet that exact complaint is going to cause him more problems now.

Psshhh, this is nothing. When I was 11 and didn't answer the phone at night, I was tossed into a sack and thrown into a river and had to fend for myself until morning. Sometimes they'd punt me into a coffin filled with Bovarian snakes and say that if I could survive, I could keep my allowance for the month.
This? Who cares!

So far, so good. My kids do what I ask them to do because they respect me without having to be beaten, screamed at or put down. Reason for this? I treat them with the respect that I never received as a kid.
On a side note, listening to that phone call reminded me all too well of the shitty parenting that unfortunately does go on in the world and I'm so unbelievably thankful that that cycle has been broken for my own children.

well since one has yet to start to walk, we shall look at the other. My son knows his place and rarely falls out of line, I am stern but never abusive or condesending....there is no need for that. A pussy would be more along the lines of your father apparently, treating your children like dirt doesnt make you more of a man and it doesnt help in their own personal growth..
