IGN reviews Bomberman Land Touch!(ONLINE FTW!!!)
Quote:
Closing Comments
It's no secret that Hudson's Bomberman has had some wild ups and downs in its 20 year history, easily hitting its lowest point earlier this year with one of the worst productions yet in the form of Xbox 360's terrible Bomberman: Act Zero. Bomberman Land Touch! may seem a little scary since it's one of those "spin off" designs that run the risk of missing the mark, but this one's really, really good. The adventure has a lot of fun little challenges in its goofy and quirky design, and the Battle Pack -- Bomberman's reason for being -- is a great version of last year's Bomberman DS with solid local and online support. If you really want to push the Nintendo DS system's multiplayer function, this one will truly get your DS gang together.
8.5 Presentation
Huge points for Hudson giving enormous customization to its Battle Pack. The adventure mode's streamlined to be simple, but some menu elements are arranged a little odd.
6.5 Graphics
Very simplistic, colorful sprites in both the adventure and the Battle Pack. Definitely not a game to show off the DS' graphical capabilities...it's meant to keep with the classic style.
6.5 Sound
Happy, bippy old-school audio that neither offends nor impresses. It just fits the theme well.
8.5 Gameplay
Some of the mini-games are a little silly while others are surprisingly addictive. And the Battle Mode? Some of the coolest and most fun multiplayer you can have in a 2D world.
9.5 Lasting Appeal
The game is enormously replayable. Single and multiple cartridge multiplayer for both mini-games and the battle mode. And great online support if you've got buddies on remote ends of the world.
8.5
Great

The single player seems like ass, apparently it's compromised of mini-games within an overworld. Not worth it IMO.

Apparently its more enjoyable than the usual bomberman single player outing(the shotty adventures, or kill 2 guys and find an exit).
But bomberman was never about single player.
