Ubisoft Montreal's CEO calls Revolution a "magical platform"
courtesy of ign
Publisher Ubisoft has officially announced one game - Red Steel - for Nintendo's new generation console, codenamed Revolution. But there may be more titles on the way, according to newly appointed Ubisoft Montreal CEO Yannis Mallat. In a recent interview with Gamasutra, Mallat had nothing but good things to say about Revolution and suggested that more Ubisoft report could be forthcoming.
"I can say definitely, as any other developer, we are looking at this magical platform, and we want to be part of the adventure," Mallat explained. He made mention of Red Steel, which was recently announced, and added: "And I'm pretty sure we'll see other Revolution games from Ubisoft. And some of them, I'm sure, will be made from Montreal."
Ubisoft Montreal employs more than 1,400 people and has upward of 12 games and fewer than 20 in development for current and next generation consoles, according to Mallat. The former Prince of Persia producer turn CEO noted to Gamasutra that it will have a big E3 2006 presence, where it will show off new IPs and sequels to existing franchises. Montreal is responsible for some of Ubisoft's biggest hits, from Prince of Persia to Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory.
On a side note, Ubisoft has also announced next generation versions of the Rayman franchise, and sources have indicated that a Revolution version is in the works.

Ah ubisoft montreal...the best thing Quebec has to offer (next to their strippers)
they're looking like a truly creative studio that's been given the opportunity to showcase their true creativity and come out of their shell.
I CAN'T ****ING WAIT

Ubisoft: We're a kinder-better-and more Nintendo friendly, EA!
I love Ubisoft.

Burnout is published by EA. Unless, of course, you were just making this comment for the heck of it and it has nothing to do with Ubisoft
