Ainn't it cool news confirms PSP2 and PS3 delay.
"Seems Sony’s current internal plans call for a release of a refitted PSP around Christmas this year. The device will, indeed, be streamlined (thinner), lighter, boast 4 gigs of memory and a camera. Proteus indicated Sony is having a hell of a time with PlayStation 3 on several fronts (between PS3’s Cell processor and its built-in Blu-ray DVD, cost effectiveness has pretty much gone out the window). Seems the ever-phantasmic PS3 may well be delayed until next year, with Sony’s reworked PSP being positioned as a lead-in to its release (in the same way Nintendo’s release of the oh-so-sexy DS Lite heralds the coming of Revolution)."

There's been no mention of a PSP2 in the works, is this just speculation?

It's not really a PSP2, it's a remodeled PSP with new features.
Anyway, EGM says DS Lite comes out in May (likely at $130). That's what I'm getting.
God Blessa!

lol I find it really funny that Nintendo comes out with DS lite and you people praise Nintendo now that there are speculations of a smaller thinner better looking psp with a camera. You guys start saying that Sony didn’t make any improvements...
I really don’t understand some of you...
I mean what major improvements did Nintendo make with the DS lite ?

I totally agree. I understand that this is a Nintendo fan site, but the out-of-this-world level of DS fanboyism still makes me cringe sometimes. Some people take this whole DS vs PSP thing way too seriously.

The PSP is already pretty damn small considering it's screen size, and any smaller/thinner would become difficult to grip. Unless it becomes a clam shell design, I don't see much room for improvement in terms of the appearance, but hey Sony suprised the hell out of me with the PStwo, so who knows.

That depends on if the camera can be used for the games on the psp....
There isn’t enough information for me to give you a complete answer but
at least the psp is introducing something new..

You're just looking for a way to start arguments around here. I agree with you on the DS lite praising crap but then u go and say they are introducing something new...a camera isn't new, it's just another thing to add on for appeal. And that little comment of yours on it depends on if the camera can be used in game...I think Sony should start focusing on making better games first before they decide to bring in something like the eye toy.
