Chili Peppers Build A Stadium
November 22, 2005
Red Hot Chili Peppers
The Red Hot Chili Peppers' long-awaited new studio album is tentatively slated to arrive in stores this April, bassist Flea tells Rolling Stone. The veteran L.A. band has titled the record Stadium Arcadium. "It's very honest music, and I feel like we improved as craftsmen," he told the magazine backstage at the Spike TV Video Game Awards, where he and frontman Anthony Kiedis were presenting an award. "We gave all we had to this album."
The Chilis worked on the album with longtime producer Rick Rubin once again, and spent seven months writing and rehearsing before going into the studio. They are currently mixing the new material, but Flea said there is plenty of work still to be done.
"We recorded a huge quantity of music," he said. "We're so in the middle of it, so it's hard to step back and look at it, but we think it's the best stuff we've ever done."
The Chili Peppers' last studio album was 2002's By The Way, but they have released a Greatest Hits compilation and live DVD in the meantime.

Did anyone get Live at Hyde Park? It was a European release but alot of music stores in the US imported it. Its the best quality Live Chili Pepper album I've heard and reveals two new songs (Rolling Sly Stone, Leverage of Space) and covers 3 old songs: Brandy (Your a Fine Girl) by Looking Glass, Black Cross by some punk band, and I Feel Love by Donna Summers (?! Yep.)
If your a Chili's fan, look into it.
Oh and for Shard, I've been scouring the web looking for info on there new album and I didnt expect to find it here.

Yeah, been a quiet few years for them. Heard way back that they had recorded something like 40 songs so they were considering two albums either next year or sometime close. Glad to finally come across something solid though. Never came across Live at Hyde Park. Had to satisfy myself with the cd/dvd greatest hits release they had.

The DVD was pretty good, but you'd probably really like Live at Hyde Park. Whenever your in a Tower Records and have some money to spend, check the Red Hot Chili Peppers section, your likely to find it with a fat "imported" sticker on it.
