Final Fantasy Face Plate
Square Enix shows off new face plate, hints at more ports.

October 3, 2005 - Square Enix has opened up a teaser site for the recently announced Game Boy Advance port of Final Fantasy IV, officially titled Final Fantasy IV Advance. The Japanese site can be accessed at the Square Enix official website.

Currently, the site doesn't reveal too much about the port. Judging by the text that appears on the screen during the flash animation, we can expect a complete port of the original along with improved visuals and gameplay systems as well as added elements.

Along with these bits of info, the site offers a first look at a Final Fantasy GB Micro faceplate that Square Enix will be releasing. Yo****aka Amano artwork on your Game Boy Micro's face will be a reality if you can get your hands on one of these. Square Enix has yet to announce details on how the product will be offered.



The site further hints at one thing that we've been suspecting for some time now. The Game Boy Advance has already seen ports of Final Fantasy I & II. With this game, we're getting Final Fantasy IV. Final Fantasy III is being brouht to the DS. The site claims that FFIV is part of a project to get all the Final Fantasy games onto portable systems. It even gives what appears to be a name for this project: "Finest Fantasy For Advance."



his would seem to suggest that FFV and FFVI will follow the releases of FFIV and FFIII.

We expect clarification from Square Enix shortly.[/quote]

I really want some better face plates. This one isn't bad per se, but I'm not into Final Fantasy so this one isn't worth it. But while the silver is nice, I'd really like to spice up my Micro a bit.
