Square Enix Announces "The World Of Mana"

courtesy of http://www.gamefront.de/

Square Enix hat beim amerikanischen Patentamt am 07.04.05 den Namen The World of Mana schützen lassen. Um was es sich handelt, ist unklar: Es könnte der (Unter-) Titel zu einem neuen Mana-Spiel sein.

EDIT: n/m I just got word its for the DS.

Hm...has Square announced any games for the PSP? They certainly seem enamored with the DS.

Thankfully.

They listed a Secret of Mana game for DS nearly 6 months ago so this game must be it.

I think you're thinking of Dirge of Cerberus for PS2. I wasn't aware that Crisis Core was even revealed yet.

World of Mana! Woo!

Last I heard was that it takes place after Advent Children so I am saying it is a sequel in that regard.

http://www.square-enix.co.jp/games/psp/ccff7/

There is the official japanese site Sonic. When translated it means its the 4th game in the things that are coming out. After Crisis, Advent Children, Dirge of Cerberus, and Crisis Core.

So it means it's in the works. It's one step ahead of Wolrd of Mana then.

Dirge of Cerberus is another Spinoff which its main character is Vincent. There isn't any information regarding Crisis Core but Square Enix confirmed that its another FF7 spinoff that will release 2006 for PSP.

I hate to play the devils advocate here, but once the PSP starts picking up more steam, that list will change dramatically I reckon.

New Secret of Mana game, eh? Hopes its better than the last one. It sucked IMHO!

If this is even close to the awesomeness that is Secret of Mana, I will be overjoyed. I've been waiting for news on the SoM game for the DS for a while, and even though this isn't much, it's still nice to hear about it. The DS would be perfect for Mana Co-op, wireless plus touch screen menu system.
