PSP Casting... Watch WHATEVER You Want?

PSPcasting
Introduction
There are tons of videos available for download from the internet. Unfortunately, nearly all of it is unplayable on the PSP. Wouldn't it be cool if you could automatically download, convert and copy these videos to your PSP for later playback? Well now you can.
Enter PSPcasting. Automatically downloading video files for viewing on a PSP at the your convenience.
Videora + PSP Video 9 represent the first pspcasting solution. Videora is used to automatically download video you want from the internet by utilizing BitTorrent and RSS technology. PSP Video 9 then automatically converts these videos into the video format that the PSP understands and automatically copies these videos to your PSP.
Getting Started
First need to get yourself a copy of Videora (either the free trial or the full version). Included in Videora is an easy to use BitTorrent program called BitComet. You must use this as your BitTorrent client (or Azureus, see below) in order for you to PSPcast files. Videora installs BitComet by default.
Once Videora and BitComet are installed properly you need to find out your default download directory. You can do this by opening BitComet and going into the preferences section. Make a note of this directory.

Next, open up PSP Video 9 and click the Setup button to go to the Setup page. If you see a white X in a red box then PSP Video 9 cannot find your Videora installation. Find the directory you installed Videora to by clicking the Browse button. Once PSP Video 9 finds your Videora installation the red box and message will disappear and the remaining options in the PSPcasting box will be accessible.

To automatically convert the files you download, check the "Automatic Queuing" box and set the directory to the one you noted above, from BitComet, using the Browse button.
To automatically copy the files that PSP Video 9 converts to your PSP, check the "Automatic Copying" box. If PSP Video 9 can't find your PSP, it will queue the files to be copied. Once you connect your PSP back to your PC, PSP Video 9 will automatically copy everything in your queue.

Finally, click the "Save" button to save your settings. Now you are ready to start PSPcasting.
Additional Features
Although its not PSPcasting, you can also manually downloaded video and then have PSP Video 9 automatically convert and copy the video to your PSP. Simply copy or download your video to your default download directory and PSP Video 9 will automatically find, convert and copy it.
Using Videora
Videora is a very easy to use. Downloading videos automatically is as simple as searching for what you want (1) and clicking the "Add to Season Tickets" icon (2) beside the name of what you want.

If you want to see what videos Videora finds or manually download video, simply click "Add to Want List" (A) instead, click "Want List" on the menu (B). The plus icon (C) indicates that Videora has found files, click it to see the list. To manually download video simply click on the file name (D).

Videora has a lot of other features too, all of which are well documented here.
Using Azureus
The only other BitTorrent client that is compatible with the Videora + PSP Video 9 PSPcasting solution is Azureus. First make sure Azureus is setup properly for for Videora by following these instructions. Then in the options section, check the "Move Completed Files" option and select a folder. This is you default download folder. To automatically convert the files you download, check the box beside "Automatic Queuing" and set the directory to the folder you just specified using the Browse button.

Cookies all around?
Also, the reason I didnt put the main link to the site this is on is because I didnt want to to become more slashdotted then it already is... we'll just eat the bandwidth with the images
Hopefully this gets tested really soon and I can get a PSP soon enough.

That entire process seems pretty complicated. Also what do you save this on? A PSP memory stick? Since there are no writtable UMD's, we can't use that. Also you have to use movies downloaded from the internet...so this is kind of illegal.

I think this programs is going to be quite helpful, because playing videos on your PSP is not as easy as it seems. I had to go through quite a lot of searching and testing until I finally got to make them work on my PSP. I ended up getting a complicated Japanese program which took me a while to figure out what I can do in order to get the correct file type and stuff.

I thought the PSP could play AVIs and MPEGs directly.

Speaking from experience, the only video format recognizable by the PSP is MPEG4. I'm pretty sure AVI's are not supported.

too bad you have to pay for this one. i'm sure that there are free programs that can convert video files to the PSP format because it is used by many Sony products even though it has lower quality and takes up more space than many other formats

Um. People... This is exactly what you do with the GBA movie player/playchan. This IS how you watch stuff on DS/GBA. And btw $30 reader + $60 1GB CF card < $100 MSDP stick you need for PSP.
EDIT: Videora sucks, I tried it before I got my PVR card. Also, it's looking like it won't last long (sued out of existence probably)
