Fable: The Lost Chapters - PC
I didn't see this at first though I was expecting a PC port to turn up eventually, here's the info from Gamespot:
"Lionhead frontman Peter Molyneux and Microsoft Game Studios are doing their best Aesop impressions for PC gamers. Microsoft today announced that the popular Xbox game Fable is headed for the PC this fall, under the name Fable: The Lost Chapters. The much-hyped game was released on Microsoft's console last September and was developed by Big Blue Box, which is owned by Black & White developer Lionhead Studios.
As indicated by the title, the PC version will feature additional content not found in its console counterpart. There will be additional quests to undertake, new regions to explore, and a deeper storyline. Gamers will also be able to use new armor and weapons, cast new spells, and slay new creatures.
In Fable, players start as a young boy and eventually reach old age, with every choice they make affecting their character. Gamers can take their alter ego along the path of righteousness, acquiring a saintly sheen and becoming the toast of the town, or they can choose a path of evil, growing devilish horns, attracting a swarm of flies, and witnessing townsfolk fleeing in terror at the character's mere appearance. By using certain weapons or acting in certain manners, the hero's physical appearance may change. He or she may become slim if ranged weapons and spells are frequently used, while he or she may become buff and burly if face-to-face scraps are favored.
Fable: The Lost Chapters will retail for $49.99 when it hits shelves this fall, and it's currently awaiting a rating."
Original
I probably won't get it unless I find it for super cheap, what with so many other more important games.

The only problem with is was the stupid amount of travel required in the game. If that didn't exsist it wouldn't be so big of a deal...but that's not something they can fix. And I'd imagine for the PC version your PCs speed would determine how fast it loads more than anything.

Excellent. I might pick it up on PC, but I'm not buying a Pooh Box to play it.

A deeper storyline? I'll have to see. I'm a sucker for customization, so it'll be hard to resist this.

It's not really customization. You're either evil, or you're good, all the guys will really come out pretty similar in the end other than that thing.

Well, there's the whole appearance thing. I weigh that rather heavily. XD Sad, no? But it's how I am, easily entertained by a few silly things.

Cool. Maybe now the game will last 12 hours instead of 8.

But appearence is generally the same too I'm saying. There is always the best armor, the best sword, everything like that. There isn't a huge amount of customization in here, in fact, there's hardly any. Just go pick up an MMORPG or something and be happy if that's what you're looking for.

Hmmm.. i was a bit intrested in this game, but i don't know if ill get it or not, especially at a 50$ price tag.
Depends on how much game time and replay value it has. If it's just another single player only short console port, then probably not. 10-20 hours worth of gameplay with no multiplayer and a 50$ cost just won't cut it with me, especially when i can get a PC only title and play it for years and have fun with it the whole time.
Not that i havn't enjoyed console to PC ports before, but only when they are reasonably priced compared to PC only titles. Kinda like Halo PC; While Halo is good in it's own right, they were charging full price for the PC version when it was new, the same price as other PC only titles, and Halo is NOTHING compared to games like tribes vengence or UT2k4. And Halo PC had some of the worst PC optimization i have ever seen.
Quick and dirty ports with minor improvements selling the same price as PC only titles with double and triple the content..that just doesn't fancy me much. I'd say it be worth 20$, maybe 30$, but i've yet to see any console port thats been worth 50$; There are just better choices that give you alot more bang for your money.

Preach on brother! UT2K4 is 20X better than Halo 2. Too bad most console gamers will never know :\

Yea UT2k4 is the sh*t. But the gameplay can get old quick. Luckily theres a kagillion maps for it and tons of modes and mods to keep it fresh. Ive been playing it alot lately if any of you want to get a game going let me know.
For just Team Deathmatch though UC2 has it beat hands-down with its new weapons and adrenaline system. Any fan of Unreal should definitely play it, its like UT2k4 TDM on steroids.
Anyway load times for Fable shouldnt be a prob like the Xbox version if you have a decent rig.

Meh, UT2K4 gets old really fast. It always feels like the same game. Where as with with Halo 2 we see the different modes actually making a significant difference. In UT2K4 it will always boil down to a helpless killathon, with Halo 2 there are at least a wide variety of ways to go about things. Either way both games aren't very good without online play.

The modes in UT2k4 have a significant difference from each other each making you play different ways. And most use their own maps unlike Halo 2. Halo 2's gameplay is just as repetitive if not more.

Yeah, go use the same exact strategy in Juggernaut as you would in 1 Flag Capture the Flag, tell me how that works out.

Do you have to bash Halo 2 every post you make? It gets real old, real fast.

I said nothing about Halo 2 until he compared UT2k4 to it learn how to read. I didnt even bash it anyway I said UT had just as repetitive gameplay. UC2 is better than both of them in that department since it has alot of depth.
Ill post whatever I want about any game anyway. I wouldnt even talk about it at all if there wasnt some noob praising it everytime you turn around.
