You'd think after suffering amnesia, being charged with the assasination of the President of the United States, and being hunted down by hundreds of men, Agent XIII might be able to catch a break. Of course, that's just not in the cards, as during XIII's trials and tribulations The Mongoose and his deadly crew are hot on his heels and determined to bring him down and put the Presidential conspiracy behind them.

Hard to believe someone who looks like he belongs on the Condo Board at Del Boca Vista can be such a deadly killer. However, The Mongoose is one of the most highly trained assassins and when he's not catching dinner at 3:00 PM he's giving Agent XIII a run for his life. During Agent XIII's path to unearth his rocky past he will encounter The Mongoose firsthand a number of times, but none more climactic than at the final showdown as he has become the last man standing in XIII's way to discovering what really happened to the President.



Armed with twin mini-guns, The Mongoose means business and can take an unwary player down in an instant. With quick agility and lightning like reflexes he's certainly a brute force. It will take all of your artillery to take him down; grenades are a must. After each third of a life you take down he will move into another stage proving more difficult and more ruthless. You'll need a lot of ammo and a lot of luck.

Once you do kill the bastard you're finally left with the truth about Agent XIII's past... well actually you're not. After a series of flashbacks, it turns out the new President (the former President's brother) is apparently the one behind it all and the game ends with a confrontation of Agent XIII and President Sheridan. Uh-oh, cliffhanger! Too bad XIII sold like ass though, and we'll never divulge all the secrets they so blatently left out in hopes of a sequel. Three years later and no word of a XIV... shucks.
