Just Horsing Around, or Should I Say Cowing Around? The cows in El Pueblo were always fat and boring, and had "shoot me in the stomach with your shotgun" written all over them. I say we give those cows some propellers, and make them really big and green. Let's also let them fly in the air. Ladies and gentlemen, the cows are now Mike's helicopter.

Upon replacing the uninteresting milk machines, the Mike's helicopters take flight just after you enter areas that would otherwise contain cows. Depending on the number of cows in the area, the framerate would drop considerably (until all the helicopters were out of sight). Interestingly, the helicopters made no noise whatsoever. And I thought the cows were loud with all their "mooing" and whatnot.
Why stop with helicopters when you can replace cows with Saddlers? I'll let the video do all the talking.
If that doesn't creep you out you're either a robot or you've never played Resident Evil 4. Or both.
Man, I wish I could take down two El Gigantes in Pueblo Scandal. That would be pretty cool. Too bad I can't ... wait, what? Oh my eff, bring it.

Just like the helicopters, the El Gigantes made no noises, but that didn't stop me from demolishing their brains with a couple Butterfly blasts to the skull.
Just in Time for Easter
Easter is just around the corner, and what better way to celebrate than with a few Resident Evil Easter eggs and secret, undisclosed information? Many of these eggs you may already know about, but you're bound to find one that you don't. Get your baskets ready.
- When you are just below Ashley (usually this happens when the command prompt "catch" appears on the screen), if you look up, Ashley will think you are looking at her panties. Obviously you aren't ... but she'll yell at you anyway, saying, "You pervert!" or "What are you doing?" In uncommon cases, if you suplex a monk and your line of vision ends with you looking straight up Ashley's skirt, she'll still yell at you!
- When Ashley has her alternative outfit on, she does not shout at you since she no longer is wearing a skirt. That's quite a detail. Capcom definitely went the extra mile to make sure this game was polished.
- There are a few locations in the game where you can lure enemies close enough to the merchant. They do not attack the merchant. Also, you cannot talk to the merchant if foes are around.
- Before fighting Del Lago (the giant fish near the beginning of the game), if you shoot six bullets into the lake then the fierce mammal will eat you whole before you can say, "Chief Mendez."
- Speaking of Chief Mendez, a nice detail can be found after you defeat him. To prevent you from leaving the fight, Mendez twists the door handles. Take a look at each side of the door as they stay true to each other. Nice detail.
- After you fight Mendez and take his eye, walk backwards a few steps and pull out your rifle. Zoom in on his eyes and you'll notice he still has both of them! Say what?
- After dominating an El Gigante by drowning him in lava, if you stand close enough to him as he struggles to free himself, he'll snatch you up and take you with him.
- Did you know nearly all the artillery in the game is taken from weapons found in real life? For example, the Blacktail is a Springfield Armory XD-9, and the Rocket Launcher is a Russian RPG-7.

- The Japanese version of Resident Evil 4 contained an easy mode. Aside from weaker enemies and other things, you start the game off with a shotgun. Talk about easy.
- Remember the small section of the game that has you controlling Ashley through the castle? Well, in the Japanese version, this segment of the game actually reverts back to old-style Resident Evil, where the camera angles remain static!
- As you make your great escape on the jet ski at the end of the game, when your craft goes midair, hit L and R to do a spin. Show off.
- The German version of Resident Evil 4 was totally chainsawed by the chainsaw guy. Here's a list of some things that were changed to make the game less "M" rated and way less cool. So sad.
- Heads do not explode upon bullet contact using a scope and rifle. However, heads do blow up when you use the trusty shotgun.
- There is no Assignment Ada mode.
- There is no Mercenaries mode.
- Oven Man is missing.
- Garrados can no longer impale Leon as the death animation was eliminated.
- Apparently a scene with Ashley and two Ganados was eliminated because it hinted at rape.
- Loading times are one to two seconds LONGER.
- There are far less incendiary grenades and many more standard grenades.
- The Typewriter (machine gun) and Handcannon were not included in the game.
So you're probably wondering why the German version was snubbed to the max, right? Capcom showed a non-complete version to the USK (which is similar to USA's ESRB). This version did not feature many of the things that were actually put into the final game months after the USK played their (incomplete) version. Because of this, selling the complete version of Resident Evil 4 would have been illegal, and RE4 would have entirely been forbidden.
After German fans heard of this news, message boards went nuts, and those who made preorders of the game cancelled them immediately. They instead import the complete, uncut versions from Australia and Switzerland.
You are dead.
Gamer over? Already? Sadly, it's true. But don't fret. New codes and secrets are being discovered everyday for Resident Evil 4. Be sure to check for updated codes and secrets from the source list below. Perhaps the biggest mysteries of RE4 are yet to be exposed. Are there more (playable) characters in the game? What about additional weapons unseen? Maybe there are more body disembodiments? Perhaps. Perhaps not. Maybe you will dig up a secret from the graves.
