Beta Stages? Well why didn't you say so?Remember Nintendo stating it had to take away a significant amount of content in Wind Waker because it feared the game would be too long for the casual player? There was even rumor that Nintendo let go of at least two completed dungeons to shorten up the game.
Well guess what folks!?! We didn't find them...
If those dungeons ever existed, they were removed from the final release. Some believe they were immediately moved from Wind Waker and placed into the next Zelda installment, The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess.
There is good news though. We found about 10 beta areas. Not to be mistaken as test stages, these beta locales are areas that, with a few touch-ups and polish, could have easily been inserted into the final release of Wind Waker. Some of them are pointless, while others are definitely worth mentioning. Let's take a peek at the most intriguing ones, shall we?
Tingle has a brother ... and he has a house?
Wind Waker enthusiasts will recall that Tingle (Link's mapmaking, fairy-want-to-be friend) has two brothers — Ankle and Knuckle. Except for the color difference in the one-piece Speedo, they look nearly identical to Tingle.
In the pictures below you'll see a room that's believed to be of Knuckle's. How do we know? The room is decorated in an artsy style with paintings of what appear to be Tingle-like looking figures all over the walls and on a painter's canvas. According to the Nintendo figurine description of Knuckle, he is a carver by occupation and owns a studio. It's possible this is his studio.

Regardless of what or whose area this is, it serves as no purpose and Nintendo decided to scrap it all together. You have to admit, that Tingle family is eerily messed up.
Upon exiting the room, Link is transported atop Tingle Island.

Haunted white house?
No one knows what it is, what is was going to be, nor what will come of it. Deep inside Wind Waker lies a small white house. That's all we know.

There's something creepy about this unknown house. It's mysterious and inexplicable. What's its purpose? Did it ever have one? The house sits atop a ring of water, which is then surrounded by a ring of sand and later a bottomless ring of more water.
The obvious question is, where does the house lead? I ran to the disturbing white steps leading to the door. "AHHHH," Link screams as he presumably falls to his death upon touching the first step (no falling animation whatsoever). Link is then immediately transported back into the area. Strange.
Avoiding the steps, I rerouted my way onto the porch attempting to find a door leading into this seemingly haunted house. Unfortunately (to nobody's surprise) the place is locked — there's no way to get in and whatever is inside is stuck there forever. I'm pretty sure I was getting colder the longer I stood next to the house, so I decided to leave because I'm a chicken.

Let the speculation begin.
