Sonic the Hedgehog 4 Revealed + Trailer!
Posted February 4th 2010 by Will Davey.

That's right. Sega's new Sonic title, previously known as "Project Needlemouse," has finally been outed as Sonic the Hedgehog 4, a downloadable game coming in parts, the first being Episode 1. The game aims to take the series back to its roots, with new 3D graphics on a 2D plane, but in the same locations and the same gameplay Genesis fans know and love. Check the trailer in the rest of the post.
What do you guys think? I personally can't wait for the game, but we'll have to wait until July 2010 before we can download it on Xbox Live Arcade, PlayStation Network, WiiWare and an unannounced platform. Follow the Source link for a Gamestop Q&A with Sega brand manager Ken Balough.

Agreed, although I don't like the run animation from what I've seen. Still, I will most likely buy this.

I'm wait and see honestly, since i'm not a big fan of sonic to begin with.

The run animation is a bit weird. The running and the actual model seems to have quite a lot in common with the Sonic Rush ones on the DS. Still, it's a good few months before we can all get our hands on it.

Yeah, it will be easy to forgive I think. Sonic Rush was pretty great.

A demo should be available at e3. I wonder how much each episodes will be priced. If there are 10 episodes at $10ea, I'd feel ripped off.

I'd imagine there's only going to be three, maybe four episodes. That's assuming that each episode is the size of one of the original Mega Drive games (maybe 6-8 zones with 2/3 acts each?). That might be wishful thinking, but if Sega have gotten it right with the game so far, I'd hope they continue to do it justice.
I don't have a problem with downloadable episodes, as I say, it just depends whether they have enough content in them. That, and how often they roll them out.

They explained already that and episode was just like Sonic 3 where Sonic 3 was episode 1 and Sonic and Knuckles episode 2 to continue the story, or something like that. So i don't think you have to worry about it i'm sure it'll be like a normal sonic game lengh wise.

Best possible thing SEGA could've done with Sonic.
