No More Heroes Leaving Nintendo Consoles

Posted July 3rd 2009 by Jordan Mammo.

Just days after Sega announced that they still expect to support the Nintendo Wii with mature titles despite some lackluster sales, Grasshopper Manufacture's Goichi Suda has gone on record saying that No More Heroes will be hitting different platforms after Desperate Struggle is released. Suda said that he sees a lot of potential in the series as a franchise and wants it to become a bigger success.

"To expand NMH to new possibilities, we need a new platform," said Suda. "Wii is a great platform, but we've done everything we can with it now."

Whether the franchise will become exclusive to another console or simply arrive on both the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 is unknown, but Suda recently said that he thinks Microsoft's Project Natal will be "a huge device." It's not clear that he is referencing No More Heroes or a new project when he says that he wants "to think about games with Natal in mind," but what is clear is that Grasshopper's new franchise is hitting the road after two releases on Nintendo's console.

I was a little excited at first but then I saw that they liked Project Natal. I just want to play NMH with a controller. sigh

Suda may have just been talking generally about Natal and not about NMH though. I guess we'll see.

Suda rocks. I hope he builds it around motion sensing, NMH with traditional controls? Do not want!
