Posted July 1st 2009 by Gareth Trinkwon.

Mozilla has finally made public its latest version of the increasingly popular FireFox browser. FireFox 3.5 boasts vastly improved performance, improved privacy and a great deal of new coding features that will have web developers salivating at the possibilities, including HTML 5 support and new CSS 3 properties.

You can find out more about what's new in the release notes, or go straight to download the browser at GetFireFox.com.

It does seem a bit nippier, especially when navigating between tabs. Bit annoyed that my gestures extension stopped working though. It's amazing how reliant you get on little things like that. Having to actually click the back button feels so prehistoric!

Some cosmetic changes under Aero (Vista/7) would have been welcome. The new HTML 5 features are intriguing. The open video thing especially.

Runs like a charm and can't wait for HTML 5 so that we can finally achieve seamless video and use drag and drop (even across internet sites!)

And why doesn't it have the neat tabs preview feature from IE8 under Windows 7? I DON'T WANT TO USE IE PLEASE!
